I have noticed a lot of pumpkin movement lately.
First, I noticed they were disappearing from Wagner’s field in Corrales.
Next, I saw a bunch of them for sale at the feed store and gas station in Bernalillo.
One of the guys in the coffee klatch told me he was going over to the annual Punkin’ Chuckin’ contest in Estancia to watch ’em get blasted into the next county. *
It all started happening when the moon looked like this.
I noticed a lot of pumpkin cheesecake being served up at the Range Cafe in Bernalillo, although not on the plates signed by famous people. (Barack Obama, of course, was given a blue one to sign).
Then, this morning, these guys showed up in an email from Will’s place in Montana. And I think I see Will’s vampire stick lying on the chair.
Will had been carving things with a knife big enough to split kindling.
And Will’s jack-o’-lantern pictures were on their way to Utah, to be seen Nancy and Tom, who I believe to be fearless friends of pumpkins on the move.
