Needing to unwind with an old, favorite movie, I watched The Misfits, 1961, again last night — but with the sound off. The combination of captions-only and the black-and-white picture in the darkened living room made the Arthur Miller screenplay, the John Huston direction and the Russell Metty cinematography all the more brilliant.
