Happy holidays ….
Cowboy 2 and I spent Sunday at Petroglyph Animal Hospital where the staff suspected after X-rays etcetera that he had consumed a “foreign object.” Bottom line is that he has seemed fine since. He is not a food beggar nor a cupboard sniffer. He gets at most one treat a day and he doesn’t run …
My Cowboy 2 after hearing this morning’s coyote kerfuffle with dumb neighborhood dogs. He was quote “living outside” before his rescue by the Best Friends Sanctuary in Utah and then Animal Humane in New Mexico. These days in Placitas, he has no use for thunder, lightning or coyotes. He’s not even too sure about hiking. …
Good thing my squirrel-averse buddy was taking a nap in another room …
My birthday here at the Fortress of Platitudes would have been incomplete without pinto beans and party animals. Notes: — All party animal photos by Izzy and Molly owner Lori.

I’m sure it’s a long wait through two cups of coffee before I get going but he puts up with it, sort of.
