The last three books I read, by three of my favorite writers, were all pretty thin. They were rewarding in my hands and my head. I didn’t get bored before the end.

That’s cool. Never been to Archer City. I read all or part of “Walter Benjamin” when it first came out, but Polly recently inspired me to look at it again and I have been enjoying it much more this time around. Figures. I guess it took me until early 70s to better appreciate McMurtry in his 60s.

The cover of the Benjamin book was framed and hanging at the Archer City Dairy Queen last time I stopped in.
